Mini the kitty was the quintessential grand old lady, she was more than a hundred in cat years!
She was adopted in 2001 when she was less than a year old. As the baby of the family she quickly became the most pampered and her siblings Kutty, Samy and poor deposed Baby were more than a little jealous.
A little sibling rivalry is healthy and the four kitties lived and played happily together. Cheeky Mini liked to fool around, her favourite game was hide and seek and her favourite pastime was to tease her brother Samy.
Mini, in spite of her name, was no dainty eater and had no qualms stealing her siblings’ food and could always be relied on to do the dishes. Hoovering up all leftovers and giving the bowls a quick “lick-over”.
She was a momma’s gurl and followed momma from bed to couch and around the house whatever momma was doing. She had a lovely life of perfect contentment.
Sadly, in 2019, Mini started to suffer from seizures. The multiple episodes took their toll and Mini was no longer able to eat and drink on her own. She was often in pain and had to be carried around. Despite her very poor prognosis she clung on for 3 years, tenaciously clinging on to the time she had left with momma. By the time we rung in 2022 she was wholly dependent on momma for almost every thing.
On 9th March 2022, she had a hearty breakfast then settled in for a little nap. She woke suddenly and sought out momma in the kitchen. Mini took a long, last look at momma then took her final breath. The dear gurl knew she wanted to pass looking at the person she loved most in the world, to give her thanks and to show her love.
Run free little one, go with our love.
